A very minimalistic collection from Derek Lam, using lots and lots of leather, whether as a top, pants or skirts, but done in a lovely way not appearing though at all. It was either leather or something fluid with a chunky knit.
Diane von Furstenberg
DVF showed why she has been in the fashion industry for a long time and that she has much more to give. I love the color palette, the mix of red with neutrals either browns or pinkish tones was beautifully achieved and then some beautiful dark looks, done in such an elegant way.
DKNY
Well, first of all I love the setting of the runway, the same as it was for the SS11 season. Second, DKNY always offers great simple, easy to wear clothing, this time a lot of leather and a lot of dark colors, especially black.
Kevork Kiledjian
A body conscious collection designed to a powerful woman having as a starting point a photograph of Charlotte Rampling.
Tommy Hilfiger
Mr. Hilfiger had quite some evident influences on his collection: military and equestrian. The result great tailored pieces, classic and timeless.
Tracy Reese
"She knows where she's going this season," is what Tracy said of her customer for this season. A very colorful collection though my favorite looks were the more quiet ones.
Victoria Beckham
Yet another body conscious collection, the designer is known for her petite frame and designs to skinny woman leaving the corsets out this time she opted she used construction techniques that suck it all in, having the same end result of the corset. The collection took a more sporty direction than usual and there was also the military trend going on.
Zac Posen
It's his 10th year anniversary and the designer has found his strength on occasion dressing this time with a japanese theme.
