Winter 2011-2012 Fashion. SKIRTS. What skirts are in fashion this season.

Skirt is an indispensable thing in the wardrobe of every woman. This winter you'll be plenty to choose from. Fashion designers represented a big variety of colors, styles, textures, variations of detail, so that we can say that the skirt in the cold season will be one of the most stylish woman's wardrobe items.

Now is the time to get rid of jeans and pants and put on a skirt and heels.

Leaher skirts.
The fashion hit of this season. A leather skirt is an amazing way to turn heads and get noticed. It can turn a woman into a lady vamp, and it can turn a teenage girl into a woman. It's one piece of clothing that can look cold and hard in a closet, but warm and sexy when it's worn right way.

Warm skirts.
This season you don't have to choose between beauty and health. This winter designers advise to wear fur skirts.

High waist skirts.
You should wear high waist skirt with thin polo-neck sweater or blouse tucking it into your skirt.

Pencil skirts.
Designers refreshed classical models with bright prints, appliqué, flounces and patch pockets.

Mini skirts.
Mini skirts are extremely fashionable this season. But fashion designers advise to forget about tight-fitting skirts and choose trapezoid cut.

Haifa wore this silver embroidered silver drape gown for her appearance at BIAF. This dress is designed by KaufmanFranco.

Haifa wore this white cut out body suit for one of her performances on Celebrity Duets. This dress comes from Turkish fashion designer, Hakaan's Spring 2011 RTW collection.

Gucci

For another performance, Haifa wore a black cut out gown designed by Gucci. This comes from Gucci's Spring 2010 collection.

Michael Kors

For another duet, Haifa wore this red V-neck jumpsuit with tan suede daffodil Louboutin pumps. The jumpsuit,also seen on actress Zoe Saldana, is from Michael Kors' Fall 2010 collection.

Haifa's looks at 2011 Concert in Qatar

Haifa wore this black lace Zuhair Murad gown for her recent concert in Qatar. This dress comes from Murad's Spring/Summer 2010 collection.

Haifa also wore the pink version of Zuhair Murad's off-the-shoulder dress suit for her visit to the Doha children's school. This suit comes from Murad's Fall 2011 collection.

Haifa also wore a royal blue Herve Leger dress for her duet onstage with fellow singer and friend Ragheb Alama.

Haifa wore this dazzling sequined dress for her upcoming appearance on the show The Elite on MBC. This dress, also seen on actress/singer Jennifer Lopez comes from Zuhair Murad's Spring 2010 couture collection.

faith + fashion

lately i've seen head wraps [for fashion purposes] 
worn everywhere. prints and patterns, wrapped 
elaborately, but to me she was an original. 
from a distance i spotted the hot pink fabric 
twisted above the crown of her head and down 
around her neck, and when i got closer she was 
even more stunning- a natural beauty. 
it was a simple reminder that sometimes 
less is more.

CB2/paper mag store bash

if you don't know CB2, please get to know them. it's 
crate and barrel's little sister for city dwellers 
(ie: apts, lofts, brownstones etc). along with paper 
magazine they celebrated its second store opening in nyc 
[58th & 3rd ave] with random guest appearances from DMC 
(from Run DMC of course)to maggie gyllenhaal. 


the best part- they partnered with new design high school 
and gave students an opportunity to work with street style photographers backyard bill, eddie newton and street peeper 
[who are all great by the way].
